EVACUATION WITH CARS
« on: September 07, 2020, 03:46:47 pm »

Dear all, I need to simulate an evacuation of a drive in cinema and would like to simulate people inside each car and at the time the alarms goes oof, the car moves together with the people. Is this posible in versión 2018?. Thanks

It's not possible. The program is for humans, not for cars.

Just trying to be creative here:
if you define all people as being in wheelchairs with a certain velocity and group them so that they move together in groups according to cars (lets say 4 or 5 people group). that might give you a rough estimate of egress time (since you anyway need about 50% higher ASET than RSET, rough should be good enough).
you will have to see how you keep a certain distance between groups (simulating the distance between cars).
of course, visualization will not be cars...

You might be interested in this newer feature.

You could import a vehicle and hide the 3D model of the person inside the model in a seated or laying down 'animation'.

Here is a fun video and I've linked to the file that I used to make it.

Note: the tour is in the pfrv file, so when you extract the files and run the Pathfinder simulation, the pfrv file should open and let you play back the tour.
