MPI processing
« on: January 28, 2018, 05:08:14 am »

Hello All,

I am using the Xeon Processor with 20cores (snapshot is attached). I am trying to run two simulations on the same system simultaneously. To utilize the maximum capacity of the system, I am dividing each model in 10 meshes and assigning each mesh to the dedicated processor by using the command MPI_PROCESS=0 to 9 and MPI_PROCESS=10 to 19.
But this idea is not working as the second simulation is not getting started and giving the error that "MPI process for mesh-1 is greater than total number of processes. "
Can anybody help me to find out what is wrong in this and if this is not the right method to use the maximum of the system what is the alternate methods to run the multiple simulations on the same system simultaneously.

Thanks
