Please help - Enable evacuation mesh
« on: July 14, 2017, 06:16:29 am »

Hello,

I tried to set mesh for evacuation in Pyrosim but i don't know how to enable this mesh. i don't found options like (Evacuation mesh, Evacuation human, synchronize meshes) in mesh window  . Only i found mesh boundary and x,y,z cells number.

Thanks

Mahmoudalyy,

The latest versions of PyroSim do not provide any explicit support for FDS+Evac. The best way to work with these features in PyroSim is to leverage the available methods for creating custom FDS entries. In general, this can be performed two different ways.

1.) Use the Advanced tab of an object editor
This tab allows you to enter custom values that apply to an object defined in your PyroSim model. I've attached an image that shows how this can be used to set EVACUATION to TRUE for a mesh.

2.) Use the Additional Records section
For objects that aren't otherwise defined in PyroSim (such as the PERS, EVAC, EVHO, EXIT, etc. namelists) they can be entered in the Additional Records section. This editor can be reached by clicking Record View at the bottom of the PyroSim window. The second attached image provides an example of adding a PERS record.

Hi Jon,

I tried the first solution but i got ( Mesh alignment test : failed unaligned with mesh).

Also i have a problem with second solution because i don't know how to add to the record and active it. Please if you have any tutorial for that or advice my with Pyrosim version that enables me to simulate evacuation.
