Are you sure the sprinkler is activating?  That the problem that usually gets me.  Once it''s spraying particles, they should be shown in smokeview as soon as you load the particles (attached).

Here''s the test file I used to generate that output.  It''s based on the "sprinkler_many.fds" verification problem, but I only used 1 sprinkler and moved it to the top center.  You can just past the text below into PyroSim and run it.

Code: [Select]
&HEAD TITLE=''many sprinkler case SVN $Revision: 2722 $''/
&TIME T_END=10.00/
&DUMP NFRAMES=200/

ah? thank you very much, i got it, and,can i make the water sprinkling like the fire-fighting lance does, i mean that the rate of flow is very very big, so i can not only simulater the fire process but also the scene of fire rescuing, just the fire fighting truck at the ground of the firing building...put out the fire with the "fire-fighting lance(sprinkler)"...
can i do that?  maybe the key of the problem is the shape of nozzle ?

I know you can modify the sprinkler settings (e.g. orientation = direction of spray), but the answers might be questionable.  Read the FDS Users Guide, section 11.1.3 "Special Topic: Flame Extinction".  Evidently, the physical processes during extinction tend to be much smaller than the mesh resolution and as a workaround they use a simplified suppression algorithm.
