hrrpua with sprinkler.
« on: March 10, 2016, 07:39:40 pm »

Hello all~!!
I have a question.uu please give me some reply.
I made a modeling fds with sprinkler. fire is not quit in smokeview. It just bigger and bigger.
I used Ramp_Q 0 to 1.0 fire.
and I used too  E_COEFFICIENT=4. but the result was the same thing hrrpua was high and fire is big.
 I have a another question.
Are sprinklers that do not affect in reducing heat release in fds6 and pyrosim?
hrr.cvc was not decreses..

Oh I do not speak English well.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

How do you know the e_coefficient? Did you read some literature about it?

As far as I know no sprinklers don't have any affect on reducing hrr. You have to
apply the effect of sprinklers into the Ramp

I agree.  A general assumption that can be made is when sprinklers activate, the HRR stays constant from that point forward - no additional fire growth.
