Extinguishing Coefficient
« on: March 03, 2016, 05:48:16 am »

I did a fire simulation utilizing a vent burner.
I ran the simulation several times with different Extinguishing coefficients and the result did not change.
There was no decay with the fire after sprinkler operation.

Would someone help with this topic??

When you use a vent burner to control a fire, it is unaffected by any other parameters such as sprinklers.  FDS simply looks at the input HRR from your burner at each time step, and makes the burner output that prescribed HRR.  Sprinklers will not effect the fire size, but will effect other parameters such as fire spread and upper layer gas temperature.
