Shoulder width-football stadium
« on: January 14, 2016, 10:34:29 am »

Hello,
I want to model the movement of a viewers in a football stadium.
The problem arise when I want to model the movement of a human been in the terraces and the width of this is 35cm and the shoulder width is 48cm
Is there any way to resolve this ´´problem`` and model this kind of ´´movement``?.
Best regards.

Unfortunately, the occupant's collision cylinder is rigid wrt geometry boundaries - you would need smaller chairs or smaller shoulders. We have been exploring some ideas where we use different sizes for the geometry radius and the occ-occ radius which (which *can* squeeze down during conflict), but unfortunately this capability is not yet in Pathfinder.

Hi Charlie,
Perhaps would be a interesting option to provide a choice which allow to modify in the rooms the size of the ocupants, like the speed modifier. Then would be not neccesary to decrease the diameter of the ocupants since when them merge in aisles,  this modification will affect in flows and at the end in travel time.
Best regards and thank you again.

That is an interesting idea. Thank you. I'll get it into the mix.
