Unkown Error
« on: November 10, 2015, 04:54:24 am »

Hi,

I am recently encountering an unknown error as soon as I want to edit the device SPRK. I want to change the spray model
and herefore I am clicking on the edit button ending in an unknown crash. It happens every time.

Is this a familiar problem and does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Regards Max

In addition to the PSM file, if you could also share error report from the PyroSim Error dialog, that would be very helpful.

Thank you for sending the log. It looks like PyroSim is crashing because of a bug that existed in the version you are using - PyroSim 2015.1.0130 - but was subsequently fixed. PyroSim 2015.2.0511 and later contain the fix. Evidently there was an issue when a legacy PSM file that was loaded might not contain the spray jet data that the code expected and it was crashing. Here is a download link if you'd like to upgrade:

http://www.pyrosim.com/download

Alternately, you should be able to work around the error by deleting and re-creating the spray model and/or device.

Okay I updated the current version and have a look at it.

On another project this message occured though : mesh is assigned to mpi process = 0 and when starting smokeview, everything is shown
in black and white. Might this be some incompatibiliy issue?

Regards
Max

Reinstalling Pyrosim and cleaning the registry fixed the problem.
