Pathfinder results 2012 vs 2015
« on: June 22, 2015, 06:58:33 am »

Hi

I have an issue with one of my projects.
We delivered an evacuation concept a couple of years ago, using Pathfinder 2012 (v??).

Now, the user wants to change the amount of workspaces and we are engaged to do a new evaluation.
I am currently using Pathfinder 2015, and I ran the old simulations on this version to see if we still get the same results.

The total movement time using version 2012 is 494 s
The total movement time using version 2015 is 768 s

This is an increase of nearly 4,6 minutes.
Are there any sufficient differences between the default values in the different versions, causing these results?

regards

Absolutely. Decision making based on queue flow rates and bi-directional flow are two big changes that I could see making a difference like that. If you can post your model or send it to support@thunderheadeng.com we might be able to identify the specific cause of the difference.  The 2012 version is available on the download page if you would like to keep your version consistent for the job.
