One-way doors and Door State
« on: April 13, 2014, 10:49:06 pm »

It seems that utilizing one-way doors and defining a door state (closing a door at a certain time) conflict each other as the occupants queuing in the door get stuck when the door closes. Is this something I can work around, or can you maybe provide a fix for this?

I wasn't able to reproduce the problem using the attached example. In this case, the one-way door (at the left) toggled state every 5 seconds and nobody got stuck in steering mode or in SFPE mode. Can you share your model or post additional detail?

See the attached file. It works fine with Steering mode, but with SFPE the occupants queuing "inside" the door get stuck when it closes.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any workaround for this bug while using SFPE mode. I've added it to our issue tracker.

I can make it work without the door being one-way, but hopefully it will be fixed in the future.

I installed the latest update, noting that this had been fixed. Rightly so it has fixed the issue to some degree but I still have it happening in my models. In some instances it also makes a few occupants in adjacent stairs to get stuck.

Like I said I still have this issue in some instances. I tried working around it by not making the door one-way, but that actually makes the problem worse as occupants get stuck in the adjacent stairway for some odd reason. I can send you the files but would rather not upload them here as they are on a project I am working on. Do you have an email address I can send them to?

Please email the models to support@thunderheadeng.com and mention the issue tracker case 25655: "SFPE Agents Stuck When Their Door Closes".
