Spiral staircase
« on: March 20, 2014, 05:45:55 am »

Hi!

I am currently working with an escape analysis of a large sports centre involving a spiral staircase.
Does anyone know how I can build the model with such a staircase?
I have read the manual, and can't find any specific way to do this, though I think I have seen a model involving a spiral staircase somewhere.

Appreciate all the help I can get :)

Please see this video tutorial for an example of how to build a set of spiral stairs.

Note: You will probably want to modify the walking speed on the step surfaces to slow the agents down a bit as they descend the staircase.

Thank you so much for answering on short term!

This helps me alot, but still a bit tricky.
Also thanks for good advice on the walking speed!

Hi,

Will there be any update on how spiral staircases are modelled as the current way is not very efficient?

Thanks,

Many regards,
Ida
