Cinema Evac

Hi,
I am trying to model evacuation from a cinema, which in essense is a staircase with a large tread (1100mm) and a riser of 300mm.

However, when i run a sim i am getting the occupants treating it as a giant staircase and just moving to the top. 

I am having trouble getting this to work the way i want...which is to have the occupants move along their 'row' and then move up the corridor to the exit. 

Any ideas on how to acheive this would be greatly appreciated.

Pathfinder doesn't give you much control over what happens within a stairway element. On way to get people to move to the isles before moving up is to build the rows as individual platforms and then connect the ends with single step stairs. I made a video to show you what I mean:
