Hi,

I don't have any firewall but still getting the error "10061".
port 52500 works fine, but the 52501 not.

I've tried everything inlude your suggestion on:
http://www.thunderheadeng.net/forum/index.php/topic,1287.0.html
http://www.thunderheadeng.com/downloads/pyrosim/manual-html/ch20.html#d0e7440

I've search the web and found that it can be problem with MPICH2, but  in pyrosim the mpiexec is builtin so there is no need to install it again.

What could be the problem?

Thanks for all your kindness help.

The "mpiexec -validate" test only works on the port where PyroSim puts smpd (32-bit: 52400, 64-bit: 52500). I don't remember what 52501 is used for, but I think it's managed by some combination of mpiexec, smpd, and the mpi process. I can run MPI problems via PyroSim and my validate call on 52501 gives the same error as yours.

Are you getting an error when you try to run simulations?
