Hi Charlie,

I am not able to utilize the "show as people" mode in the pathfinder results engine. When I turn that mode on the people disappear and very odd colours shoot across the screen.

Is this a known glitch that requires a patch?

When using the 3d output file, in Behemoth, if you put the cursor over the lower bar near the play, pause, etc controls and scroll in or out the building disappears out of view and you have to press control R to find it and lose your previous view.

kind of problematic when it happens in a presentation.

in case i did not explain the area properly, attached is a picture of the area

Is it possible to add the "handles" that are utilized in the pathfinder walkable areas to the geometry in pyrosim?

Often working on projects at the 40% or 75% stages and even at 100%, the geometry of the models are not perfect and there are holes which create leaks. Currently to "patch" holes you have to create a new obstruction and add all the attributes or change the geometry of the existing obstructions which can be very labour intensive. Since all of the faces are triangles could the "handles" be used here to manipulate the coordinates in a future release?

this would save considerable time.

once again im not a programmer and dont know if this is possible, just a thought

Hi,

Im not sure if this is really a "beta testing" concern but a comment none the less. I opened a model in the "2011 beta" version that i had made with the 2009 version. i saved it within the 2011 beta version and was unable to open it again with the 2009 version. i know that is is normal with other programs but usually when you save you have a drop down bar and can save it as different versions. for example if im working in autocad 2011 i can save it as an autocad 2007 file and pass it on to someone with the older software or for whatever other purpose.

As I am not a programmer i do not know what goes into making that happen or if its possible with this type of program ... just putting it out there

Hi Charlie,

i think using this vs. just getting rid of a door would force people down a "dead end corridor" and you could evaluate the time.

For my uses it would be something to show authorities visually rather than calcs. I do see how this could be done using the "fat" circles.

also where do you want feedback on the 2011 beta?

 Something that could be useful would be the ability to have "locked" doors. ie people go to the door, find it locked or unusable and re-evaluate their path.

Very excited to try out these features, particularly the movement scripting. Setting specific paths for occupants will be a significant advantage.

Pathfinder / Behemoth 3d output titles

Hi,

When comparing multiple 3d outputs from various evacuation scenarios it is difficult to recognize the files on screen as the header or title bar only reads "pathfinder" in behemoth. In the pathfinder program it reads "Pathfinder. filename". as you can imagine when looking at 7 or 8 3d output files to compare, it can get confusing and time consuming identifying which scenario the output belongs to.

is there a quick fix that can be done?

I went so far as to delete all java right off my computer and re-install pathfinder, nothing seems to work.

When re-installing Pathfinder i am never prompted to insert the registration Key...

My co-worker is having no problems with Pathfinder on his computer but his is 64 bit java...
