PyroSim / Heat Conduction in Obstruction
« on: November 29, 2019, 04:53:17 am »
DEAR COLLEGUES,
I need to model a naturally ventilated facade exposed to the exterior and interior temperature.
The façade is composed by:  external obstruction (5°C applied on the exterior face of the obstruction.1) + a ventilated cavity (modeled ) + internal obstruction.2 (20°C applied on the exterior face of the obstruction).
To correctly simulate the ventilation in the cavity, I need to model the heat conduction across the obstructions, depending on the materials and on the boundary conditions.
So I need to assign a LAYERED EXPOSED SURFACE to my obstruction (external or internal) coupled with the SAME MATERIAL Layered with an EXTERNAL FLUX or coupled with a HEATER/COOLER SURFACE (on the exterior side of the obstructions), is it correct?
It is possible?
Thank you in advance

Hi,
I have read that the latest versions of fds have the wall functions. and in pyrosim?..I don't understand if they are in  or if they are neglected, so i have to impement some command lines ..?

PyroSim / data extraction

Hello,
I am learning to use pYrosim for a few days , but I do not understand how to extract the results (temperature, air velocity and pressure) as numerical values at each time step for each point of the mesh (or for a small area). For example, I can create sections, and in the post processing  I can see the results in these. but how can I get the results in table format?
Thank you
