PyroSim / Modeling fuel flowing into a drain
« on: July 01, 2020, 10:54:21 am »
I'm trying to model a fuel fire on a sloped surface. (fuel spill on a bridge) The flow will lead to a drain.  Is there anyway to model the burning fuel flowing into a drain in PyroSim?

Pathfinder / Occupants moving upstairs
« on: August 15, 2019, 10:33:47 am »
I have an issue, where after almost everyone has evacuated the building, a handful of people run around, go up a set of stairs, run to another and go back down, run around some more.  It's adding 5 minutes to the evacuation time.  It's like they're children playing tag (no I have no children in the model).  How do I keep them from going back up the stairs, or running around seemingly aimless?

I can't post the file because the project is confidential.

Any help would be awesome.  Thanks

How do you model a vent on a sloped roof?

PyroSim / No Airflow through Fans
« on: July 09, 2019, 12:44:00 pm »
I'm running a model of an atrium.  I have smoke exhaust fans modeled as HVAC fans that activate around 145s (when the smoke detector activates).  When I run the model, I'm getting no airflow through the fans.  I made sure the mesh height was 2m above the fan.  I've a lot of research and trial and error (thankfully this is small enough it only takes 5 minutes to run).  I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.  Can anyone help please?

PyroSim / HVAC Nodes not showing in list
« on: May 28, 2019, 09:52:11 am »
Hello all,

I am creating smoke exhaust fans.  There are 14 fans in total.  When I go to make the ducts, I only see nodes for 13 of them.  Is there a limit to the number of nodes shown in a drop down menu?  If so, how do I work around it?
