PyroSim / Burn away and surface thickness

I am trying to model burn away case and from manual I understood that :

1. The thickness of the OBST is not relevant to the 1- D heat transfer calculation and the thickness in the SURF line is used, however for burn away the OBST thickness matters (burn away time was changing in sample cases).

2. Does the thickness of the OBST have to be the actual thickness (in my case it is in mm), and my mesh has to been fine enough to model such a thickness? 

3. Can we keep obstruction thickness smaller than the mesh cell size and still that obstruction will be captured for both heat and flow calculations ?

 4. If an obstruction thickness is smaller than the mesh cell size , will burn_away work in this case?

Please correct me where I am wrong.

PyroSim / Error in Result viewer : FDS actual and Pyrosim geometry

I am using burn away option and I noticed that when I am selecting PyroSim geometry in scene geometry then obstruction is going away at 3s while when Actual FDS is selected then the obstruction is going away at 5 s. Why this is happening and which is correct. It must be some error in PyroSIM results viewer. Please explain

Fire spread is not being shown in the latest version of the PyroSim/Smokeview. In earlier versions, when in smokeview if we select both HRRPUV and soot mass fraction in 3D smoke option then fire spread was also visible.
I have cross checked it with my files in newer and older version. Is it a bug in new version?
This feature was really very helpful to see the flames of fire spread.

PyroSim / Boundary of the flame

How to define the boundary of the flame ?

I want to calculate average single temperature of the flame (averaging with time and space in the region within in the flame boundary) ?
 For that I need to first define the boundary of the flame so that it includes only flame region(and excludes the surrounding region which are not part of the flame).
I think this flame boundary then can be used to get mean temperature in the flame region by using statistics tool in the pyrosim
