Title: Isothermal surface
Post by: fidome787 on May 11, 2020, 10:03:17 am
I am building a model in pyrosim, wherein one particular wall needs to be isothermal at 20°C. Does anyone have an idea as to how to set the wall as an isothermal? (My wall will most likely be an obstruction) Thanks

If by Isothermal you mean it remains at a constant temperature, just set its surface as INERT.

Oh, my understanding was if an obstruction has an inert surface, that means it's initial condition would be that its initial temperature is 20°C, however this temperature could change if there is a fire inside the compartment.
Whereas, when a surface is isothermal, it's temperature remains at 20°C, irrespective of a fire.
Am I wrong in my assessment?
