Title: People stuck in floors or landings
Post by: pedroguajardo_16 on November 21, 2016, 11:59:56 pm
All, I am a first time Pathfinder user:

Current Issue: I am working on a 5-story building and I finally created the stairs and used the 2 stair option and each floor connects to a landing. Both staircases have the same sizes and the stairwell on the right seems to have occupants stuck within the floor ( or it might be an issue with queuing) but I am not sure why my occupants don't exit the building. While the stairway on the right exits successfully. Total occupants = 494 and when running the model it seems to pause at 105 occupant remaining ( people stuck within floors)

Any ideas on how to "tell" my occupants to exit instead of being stuck in the stairwell.

All help is greatly appreciated.

All- I figured out the issue. I did not properly translate the imported geometry on the first floor. I have fixed it and all occupants successfully evacuated.

I can not imagine what I would have come across, but it was good.
