Title: 2 different ambient air temperatures
Post by: BVsimulator on April 13, 2011, 01:43:24 am
It is possible to set more than one ambient air temperature? Because I want to create a szenario, where the temperature in the building is e.g. 20 degree (C°) and outside of the building e.g. 35 degree (C°).

When it is possible, then how I can set this attitudes.

Thanks

best regards,
BVsimulator

The feature you are looking for is FDS's INIT record. It lets you define the initial temperature within a region. In PyroSim, they are referred to as "Initial Regions".

On the Model menu, click New Init Region...

Hi.
I hope I'm not asking a very silly question.
But I cannot find the "New Init Region" command.
I have the 2010.1.0928 Pyrosim Version.
I thank you in advance.

We added support for the INIT record in PyroSim 2010.2.1114. (release notes (http://www.thunderheadeng.com/2010/11/pyrosim-2010-2-1114/))

Once you've got that version, you can find the option in the Model menu (see attached screen grab).

If you don't want to update PyroSim, I think the INIT namelist works well in the additional records section.
