Hello Everyone,

I tried to add a surface that I have created with wood material to an imported CAD model.
But the below error was occurred at the run

"ERROR: SURF Wood cannot be applied to a thin obstruction, OBST #3"

The object to be ignited with heat flux and to be burn away
How can i add a surface to an import CAD model or object. Is it possible in Pyrosim?

I started it, and it ran.

Thanks Dave,

My model was initially modeled through Revit and I have made a mistake when exporting to CAD. Below quote helped me to solve the problem.

"In the Modify DWG/DXF Export Setup dialog, select the Solids tab, and select ACIS solids. This option allows PyroSim to import objects as solid obstructions rather than treating each exported face as a thin obstruction"

Thanks again   :)
